I'm in the 2nd week (Week 9) of project two and the ball has officially started rolling. I've sent my scratch track off to a friend of mine (who happens to be an exceptional guitarist), his name is Dominic Ward and we've planned to meet in the Neve studio at 7PM on Wednesday the 3rd of April.

Here's a clip from the session, Dom Killed it!!

We got recordings done for the second song off the album, titled Someone (135bpm) and the 3rd song, Caught Out (110bpm). I can't wait to start mixing these tracks and figuring out how to blend them together with such a distinct tempo difference. I'll send the updated scratch track to the drummer I have gotten in contact with, his name is Jacob Thrum. I have spoken to both musicians and made it clear that there are a couple of minor things that I need from them (the tonic note or key scale and rhythm or basic structure), but other than those small things they have been given freedom to record what they think fits best to their style. This is a way for me to create a type of "artist showcase" within my own work.

On Friday, I decided to start searching for an animation or design student to help me with my album artwork. This was a very simple initial step to do, all I did was upload a quick post onto a Facebook group that has a collective amount of students from all disciplines.

I received multiple inbox's from students who were interested in helping me out, which was great to see! Everyone seems to have the same amount of passion and drive for their work as I do.

I'm looking forward to the next few weeks ahead!

Jordan.
